Our school is staffed by eight early childhood education teachers who function as a team. Our teachers are also Hanen certified which is training that develops skills in assessment and programing that promotes social language and literacy development.
The two founders of the school continue to teach in our programs and five teachers have seen their kids graduate from CPS. We have been working together for many years and are consistent in how we communicate with children and how we discipline. We meet weekly to plan our themes, cognitive goals and activities for the children. We have a strong background in child development that allows us to assess children from a developmental perspective. We always observe the current behaviour of a child in relation to earlier behaviour, not in relation to the behaviour of other children. We believe that creativity is more than paint and glue and that there is always a new way to approach the world around us.
